If you really want to make new and original tattoo for you to try some different things:
* Draw a tattoo themselves or have a friend who is more artistically interesting
* Look at other designs and tweak them to your liking
* Find the people you find impressive - clear tattoo
* Design a tattoo on a computer using a program like Photoshop
Do not do the following if you plan to create a unique tattoo:
* Take something off the wall in a tattoo shop
* Choose your tattoo from a book at the tattoo shop
* Choose your tattoo designs from some mainstream media
